Lake Life

After nearly 2 months of no lake visits due to a very busy schedule, we finally made it back.  And in case you hadn't noticed, it's HOT, HOT, HOT outside which means swimming is just about the only activity you can tolerate outdoors.  So, that's how we've been filling our weekends and I couldn't imagine anything better.  And on top of being in one of my very favorite places, one of my very favorite people joined us last weekend too - Aunt Julie!  It was Whole Hog Days in Eufaula with lots of town activities and the annual Poker Run which means hundreds of boats zipping by the house on their way to the marina.  It's always such fun to watch.

Things have been pretty routine on the homefront.  Nicholas finished summer school last week and has a little over month before Pre-K starts.  He's really excited about the break but I know he'll be ready to get the school year started again.  Alli, Jake, and Kami are going to be staying with Grammy and Papa next week so I'm sure we'll have lots to report after their visit.
Checking out the activity at the Cut.
 Another gorgeous Eufaula sunset.
This is Turd the Turtle.  He makes the rounds.  We've found him in Edmond a
few times and at the lake a few times.  Apparently he's a big traveler.
The annual lake photo.  Three years strong!
Nicholas has really become interested in taking pictures lately.  We always make a deal that I can take his picture if he can take mine.  He does a pretty nice job, but I usually have about 50 to delete because he gets a little snap-happy......
....so sometimes you have to intervene.
