Christmas Eve Cookie Extravaganza

I have an amazing husband.  This practically goes without saying.  But I have to say it again because he blew me away this Christmas Eve when he decided to spend the day baking oodles of cookies with Nicholas.  Using the same recipes his mom used when he was a boy, he worked and slaved all afternoon to create a magnificent display of cookies and treats!  I even got in on some of the action and made a batch of Oreo balls.  I'm usually a bit of a clean freak, but I actually loved seeing my kitchen littered with mixing bowls, measuring spoons, and baking pans!  It was heavenly!  Now it's just a matter of finding someone to eat them all!

Oh, I almost forgot!  I wanted to share one more picture of Chippy before we had to send him back to the North Pole. Nicholas was really upset that he had to go but I promised he would be back next year to visit us again. And Chippy must have wanted to go out with a bang because we found him hanging from the chandelier on his last morning with us. Crazy Chippy.
