Preschool: The After

I arrived to pick up Nicholas and immediately saw him waiting by the classroom door with a very stressed look on his face. He wasn't crying at all but I could see in his eyes that it hadn't been the easiest day. His teacher said he'd had a bit of a tough time, missing Mommy & Daddy, but that overall he was a very good boy and he followed directions well. His daily report was marked that he'd slept for 10 minutes, which probably really means he sat still on his nap mat for 10 minutes. So, by the time we got home he was very grouchy and ready for some quiet rest. He slept until 5:00, which is a little late but okay by me. I figured he had earned it. Greg and I are anxious to see how tomorrow goes now that he understands what's happening. Here's the masterpiece he made for us at his first day of school. It's proudly displayed on our fridge!  One of the eyes has fallen off several times but I keep gluing that sucker back on.  I'll superglue it, rubber cement it, or even staple it if I have to!
