Happy Easter!

Easter weekend just couldn't have been any better! Ryan, Cindy, and Jillian came up from Texas so the kids got to be together for Easter again, just like last year. The guys all went fishing on Saturday so us girls took advantage of the time and made a trip to the zoo. The weather couldn't have been more perfect for a day outdoors! Nicholas and Jillian got to see all the animals and even got to pet the goats in the children's zoo. Nicholas had to make sure he touched every single one at least once! We also decided to try out the Lorikeet exhibit, where you get to feed the birds, but it turned out to be less than pleasant. As soon as we walked in the door we were dive bombed by bird assasins and left with Janet bleeding and Nicholas crying from getting pecked on the hand. So heed my warning if you ever decide to check this one out!! But we all survived the attack and were able to shake it off with a little playtime and lunch. Both kiddos were completely tuckered out by the time we left....and probably the grown ups too! That evening we had a cookout & birthday cake at Mimi & Grandpa's house to celebrate Ryan and Cindy's upcoming birthdays.

Nicholas was spoiled with Easter baskets and got tons of yummy goodies and fun treats! He thoroughly enjoyed pulling everything out and went a little crazy with the paper grass, which he loved throwing in the air and piling on his head!

I would just like to warn you that there are about a million pictures here. I couldn't help myself, they were all so cute! Happy Easter everyone!
Out like a light on the ride home:

Then we have the Easter baskets.
