Check it out! Greg's been working with Nicholas for awhile now on learning where his belly button is. Well, yesterday when Greg asked him again he pointed it out all by himself!!! What a smart boy! Up next is the nose!!

Nicholas discovered the joys of running through the sprinklers on a hot summer day yesterday! He was quite a sight!

Baby BFF's

Nicholas and his buddy Max had a little quality play time yesterday. It's so cute because they're really starting to understand that the other one is actually a person, just like them, that they can play with. Nicholas was really into investigating Max, mostly by means of putting his fingers in his mouth! Max took it like a champ though and just let him do his thing. Nicholas was especially intrigued when Jessica got out a bottle to feed Max. You could almost see the little thought bubble floating above his head: "Ahhh, I remember the days." It won't be long and they'll be the best of friends, collecting snakes, and bugs, and all the other wonderful things that boys do. Can't wait!

Mommy said I looked extra handsome today and needed to have my picture taken, so here I am!
I've recently discovered how fun it is to sit in chairs just like the grown ups do. Especially Daddy's awesome recliner. I love to rock really, really fast!! I try my best to climb into it all by myself but I still need a little boost. Every boy needs a place to sit back and chillax, right?! The remote is also a must when kicking back.

I realize I'm breaking several cardinal rules of parenthood here (Don't sit so close to the TV; TV will rot your brain; blah, blah, blah....) but I couldn't resist the cuteness of this moment. Thanks for the great movie Aunt Julie. I think it's safe to say he likes it!

Happy 4th of July!!

We had a great 4th! Greg's Aunt Susan was driving through town with her dog Porter all the way from California, so we had a delicious cookout with her and Grandma & Grandpa Jaggi. The fireworks didn't start until 10:00 and we weren't quite sure what to do about Nicholas since his bedtime is 8:30. But we took a chance and woke him up to go watch and what a great idea that was! He LOVED it! He sat on Grandma's lap and watched the entire show. He even threw out a few oohs and awes in his sweet baby gibberish and pointed at the really pretty ones. He's such a good boy! I'm sure each year will get better and better and he'll enjoy it more each time.
