Thanks to Aunt Julie I now have the picture of Nicholas from the other day that I took with my cell phone. It doesn't get any cuter than this!

Nothing to report from the news desk

There's nothing new happening in the Jaggi household. I just wanted to post a few new pictures of Nicholas. The weather's getting warmer & warmer every day and I'm so ready for the fun days of summer. I wish I had the entire time off work like I did last year, but what are ya gonna do?? Operation 1st Birthday is in full swing and we're so excited to see all the family coming in for the occasion. All of Nicholas's cousins will be here and he just can't stop talking about it! :-)

Here's Grandma, Nicholas, and Grandpa at our Memorial Day cookout last weekend. It was such a beautiful day!
We had another great weather day on Tuesday so Nicholas and I spent some time playing in the backyard. His favorite toys were Daddy's shoe and the watering can. Ahhhh, the simple things.

I don't have a picture of this, but I wanted to share anyway. Yesterday Grandma Jaggi babysat Nicholas while I worked late. When I arrived to pick him up I had just missed a blowout diaper, (lucky me!) and of course I had no back-up clothes to put on him. Imagine if you will - him riding home in his diaper & tennis shoes! It was priceless!

I got my sea legs!

Walking is second nature to Nicholas now. In fact, that's all he really wants to do and if you try to stop him, so help you... (Sorry the video is a little dark.)

Give me, give me!

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ICE CREAM! It doesn't matter what's going on in the world, as soon as Daddy opens that wrapper on the ice cream cone everything else ceases to exist. I think we've got a junkie on our hands.

Mother's Day

My first Mother's Day was bliss. That's right, bliss. No other word will do. I got to spend some wonderful time with Greg and Nicholas and you just can't beat hanging out with my boys. Among other things, I got a steak dinner cooked by my wondeful husband and an iPod docking station that I've been wanting for so long. I also got a leisurely nap and lunch with my parents at Macaroni Grill. But the highlight of the day was just realizing how lucky I am to be Nicholas' mommy. Not a second goes by that I am not thankful for what I've been given and how proud I am to be raising this perfect little boy. No matter what each day holds in store for me, I get to hug him, kiss him, and see him grinning ear to ear at me. That's all I need in this world!

I hope all of my mommy friends experienced the same kind of joy on their day!!

Fun On The Farm

This weekend we went to visit Grandma Smart on the farm in Rolla, Missouri. What fun, what fun!! What little boy wouldn't relish the chance to see cows, geese, chickens, barn cats, and more? He was mesmerized by the strange creatures and the funny noises they made.

Unfortunately, it rained most of the weekend so we had to spend a lot of time indoors. But Nicholas found plenty to keep him occupied.....mainly Grandma's walker! It works wonders for babies too if anyone was curious! But don't let the crutch fool you because he is quite capable of walking on his own. In fact, that was the main attraction for the adults. He can successfully make it across an entire room now.

Lucky for us we picked the weekend that Mike, Kathy, Jesse, and Kristen all host their annual pig roast! I've never personally witnessed an entire roasted pig and in case you haven't either, here ya go:

The food was delicious and the party was great! Kathy had all kinds of fun stuff for the kids to do, including a "sandbox" filled with corn instead of sand. NICHOLAS HAS NEVER LOVED ANYTHING MORE!! We had to keep a close eye on him to make sure he didn't eat the corn (he only required one finger sweep) but it was worth it to see him having the time of his life. We literally had to pry him away from it, screaming and all! I've never seen him protest so fervently.

He also got to check out the 4 wheelers!! Man, what an adventure!

A great time was had by all and we can't wait to do it again!

New Ride!

Well, it's official! Nicholas is now cruising around town in his new and improved car seat!! It was a bit sad to see his little one go, thinking back on the very first time he rode in it on the way home from the hospital. He was so tiny and precious! But, he loves his new one and enjoys watching the world go by outside his window. And the box it came in was awesome too!
