Cut off from society

Our home computer is down so I've not been able to add any new pictures lately. Just to quench your thirst for Nicholas news, here's a rundown on the latest:
1. He now despises the pillows being on the couch. Apparently they belong in the floor, and if you move them he comes right back over to place them in their rightful position.
2. We've been reading a lot of books at night and he's become quite adept at turning the pages on his own. It's his little way of telling me to hurry up and get to the good stuff.
3. I purchased some stove knob protectors the other day in an attempt to baby-proof the kitchen a little better. Ha! That was a joke. Within 2 minutes of putting them on, he had mastered the skill of opening them. He's a genius.
4. I think another new tooth is on it's way. That makes 5!

That's all I can think of right now. Hopefully our computer will be back in action soon so I can get some new pictures for everyone. If I haven't mentioned it before, I highly recommend getting a baby if you don't already have one. They're totally entertaining!

A Trip to the Zoo

I had the day off Tuesday and the weather was gorgeous so Mom and I took Nicholas to the zoo. He had gone once before but was too little to really grasp what was happening. But this time he had a ball watching the animals and all the little kids running around! But his favorite part was by far riding the carousel! He was giggling the whole time as we went round & round, up & down. I bet he wishes he had his very own in our backyard! (Aunt Julie, if you can't tell, he is wearing his giraffe shirt!)

Caught on Video!

Nicholas finally decided to try out his walking legs again and I was able to catch a little bit of it. I apologize for the shaky camera work but it was a little diffcult holding the prop & the camera. Hopefully the next one will be better!!!

Happy Easter!

Nicholas had a super time for his first Easter weekend! He got to spend the night with Grandma & Grandpa Hawkins and he also got a visit from Cousin Jillian! Life doesn't get much better than that! Jillian is just so gorgeous and she had an adorable dress on for Easter. Nicholas got to experience the sweet joy of dissecting an Easter basket as you can see in the video. (He's all about emptying these days.) I also tried to pose him for a few Easter pictures in Grandma Jaggi's beautiful backyard, but anyone who's ever tried to capture a 10 month old in pictures knows that was a joke from the start! Here's a peek:

We hope you all had a blessed weekend and that all the kiddos found gobs of Easter Eggs!

Toast is for the dogs!

Nicholas has taken up a new cause: feeding the hungry. (Dogs that is!) He has just discovered that feeding his food to Sydney is way more amusing than eating it himself! Greg took this video of him last night and I think you'll agree that it's quite comical. (Nicholas does too!) If Sydney didn't love him before she certainly does now!

Also, he's 10 months old today! Can someone tell me where the time is going?? I haven't been able to capture anymore steps yet but I've got the camera on stand by just in case. The tricky part is getting him to cooperate. He just won't listen to me! :-)

First Steps

That's right! Nicholas has taken his first real steps! Hopefully we'll have some video to post in the near future. Stay tuned....
