Show Me the Show-Me-State

We just got home from our trip to Missouri to visit Jeff, April, Alli, Jake, Kami, Pop, Linda, and Julie! Nicholas had a blast playing with his cousins and I think they enjoyed him too. The weather was a little cold and rainy so we had to do a lot of indoor activities but the guys were still able to get on the lake to do some fishing. On Saturday we had a fish fry to celebrate Alli's upcoming 7th birthday and the food was absolutely delicious! Jeff sure can cook! Then we had an indoor Easter egg hunt on Sunday before heading home. Nicholas scooped up 10 eggs for his first official try. (Of course he had a little help!) Big thank you to Jeff & April for their hospitality! It had been so long since we'd all been together and it was great to be with family.

Thunder Struck

Nicholas has officially been introduced to the NBA! Grandma & Grandpa Jaggi took us all to an OKC Thunder game Friday night and he LOVED it! They had a suite which was loaded with great appetizers and adult beverages. We are definitely spoiled and I don't think I can attend a game any other way now! :-) To our surprise the noise and action didn't seem to bother Nicholas in the least. In fact, he was absolutely riveted once the game began! You can see him hanging onto the railing watching the players' every move on the court!

But, the BEST part wasn't the game. Oh no! It was the cheerleaders!! They were nice enough to come by and take a picture with the adorable baby....Greg and Nicholas were in it too! HA!

(I apologize for the hazy pictures. Apparently there was a fingerprint on the camera lens.)

Baby's got a new pair of shoes

What are these fantastic things????

Yum, Yum Carrots!

We've been practicing with eating table food and tried cooked carrots the other evening. I have to say it went over pretty good. However, I think it's way more exciting to him to mash the food in his fingers than to actually put it in his mouth. But hey, that's what growing up is all about! You got to sit back and relish the newness of stuff sometimes.
Oh yeah, doc says he weighs 21 pounds (54%) and is 29.25 inches long (78%). That's .25 inches shorter than his length at his last appointment. I'm praying they measured him wrong and he's not actually shrinking! :-)

9 Months Old!

Our sweet little boy turned 9 months old last week! As you can tell by the pictures, he's a giant! We go to the doctor this week for his check-up and we'll get the latest stats. As all new parents know, hearing your baby's latest weight, height, and growth percentile is an excitement we covet from the moment we leave the previous appointment. Seriously, it's the equivalent of a report card or football trophy! Huge!

The 3 of us took a little vacay this weekend and visited Ryan, Cindy, and baby Jillian. Jillian is 1 month old now and she's already changed so much! You forget how tiny newborns are and just how much they sleep. She was hanging out in her crib for most of the visit but made short appearances for us here & there. Being fabulous is exhausting! Nicholas was very curious about her and wanted to touch and grab her. For the most part he did really, really well but he definitely wasn't the gentlest thing. There's no doubt they will spell T-R-O-U-B-L-E in just a few short years! It was such a great weekend!!
